Apply for the Foundation Program as a Prerequisite to other MBA Programs

Follow the procedure outlined below if you are taking Foundation courses to...

...transfer to another institution as pre-requisites for an MBA program other than the online UW Consortium program

...provide you with background business information if you have no plans to complete the Certificate or enroll in an MBA

You will be a Consortium special student (a student not admitted to the Consortium MBA program)

Because Consortium students register through UW-Eau Claire which serves as the Consortium Managing Partner, you will apply electronically as an Eau Claire special student via the UW System site:

Apply as an Eau Claire Special Student  (NOTE: Click on Visitor/Guest Student after registering as a new user).

If you are a Minnesota Resident, you will also complete the reciprocity form:

Apply for Reciprocity

What comes next?

Once you have completed this process, you will be notified by the UW-Eau Claire registrar’s office that your application as a special student has been received and you will be given a pin number and directions on how to register through BluGold CampS.

You will need to pay a $100 deposit prior to registration. You can do that electronically via UWEC Business Services:

Make your deposit.  (NOTE: Processing may take up to two business days.)

Please note that within the registration process in MyBluGold CampS, there is a partial payment agreement that must be completed before registration.

Reminders: Current pricing on the Foundation courses is $625/cr. Generally, enrollment closes three weeks before the class begins OR when a class is full.

In the mailing from registration, you will also receive information on how to forward your UW-Eau Claire mail to any other preferred address. While this usually works, firewalls and spam filters can result in you missing important messages. We strongly suggest you use your UW-Eau Claire email account directly because it is the address instructors will be given to communicate with you. It is also the address used for any bill adjustments and directions on viewing final grades.

Order your textbooks from UWEC Bookstore.  (NOTE: Books will be available several weeks in advance of the course date)

About a week before the class begins, you will receive an email from the Consortium providing you with your username and password to access your course(s).

In subsequent semesters, you will simply make your $100 down payment and register without further application.
