1.5 Credits

Instructor

Thomas Hilton, Ph.D.

Description

This course examines the design factors and development process of an effective e-business website from a practical viewpoint. Built on a web-mediated communication model, e-business websites are viewed as tools to facilitate intra-organizational communication (e.g. knowledge management networks), inter-organizational cooperation (e.g. supply chain management), and extra-organizational relationship (e.g. customer relationship management and marketing). To provide a more realistic understanding of the concepts, students will have the opportunity to learn basic skills in developing a simple e-business website.
