MGMT 741 – Production and Operations Foundation2 Credits InstructorsDescriptionThe Production and Operations Management (POM) Foundation course is designed for students entering the MBA program who have not had sufficient exposure to the subject before. At the end of the course you will have learned all the basic concepts typically taught in a first course in POM. You will have also gained a working knowledge of several POM techniques that are used in manufacturing and service industries. These techniques will cover such topics as production and inventory control, scheduling, project management, and quality control. You will be able to implement these techniques on spreadsheets using specially designed templates. PrerequisitesCollege algebra, basic statistics, basic competency in using Microsoft Excel.
