The Consortium program uses web-based Desire2Learn (D2L) |
![]() |
D2L is a user friendly product through which all elements of an online class are offered. For example, you will receive the latest updates from your instructor in the News area, find your syllabus, calendar, instructor commentaries, video and audio files, assignment information, etc. all in the Content area, carry out discussion in the Discussion area, deposit and retrieve assignments in the Drop Box, and use the Gradebook to track your progress.
It is essential that your computer be set up in such a way that you can successfully participate in your courses. To find the most up-to-date information on operating systems, hardware, software, browsers, and settings that are compatible with and recommended for D2L, please visit the UW-Madison Knowledge Base page. We cannot guarantee that any earlier – or more recent—products will be compatible.
* NOTE: Since the Consortium functions in a Windows-based environment, there may be an occasion where software requires a Windows-based machine. In those cases, it is the student’s responsibility to locate a Windows-based machine to access the software.
