MBA 742, previously titled Computer Fraud Fundamentals, is going through a revision process and being broadened to better reflect the current interest in all forms of financial fraud and their impact on management. Students will learn:
- to identify situations in which fraud is more likely to be present
- how common methods of fraud are committed including fraud using the computer
- how some recent big financial statement frauds were committed
- methods to manage and reduce fraud risk through improved internal controls
