Withdrawal

Withdrawal from a Class

Prior to the start of class and during the first week of class, withdrawal from a course can be done directly through MyBlugold, the same system used for registration. After that time, withdrawal can be done only by contacting the UW-Eau Claire Registrar's Office or the Consortium Program office.

Withdrawal Deadline

All withdrawals from classes after the "drop" period (usually the first 3-5 days) will be recorded with a "W" on the your permanent academic record along with the official date of withdrawal. You will not be permitted to withdraw from a class later than approximately the midpoint of the course. Deadlines vary for courses that do not last the entire semester. If you enter this time period and fail to complete a course, you may receive a grade of "F" or "I" for that course.

If there are unusual circumstances beyond your control which force withdrawal, you may request permission for late withdrawal from the UW MBA Consortium Program Director.

If you stop participating in a course and fail to withdraw officially, you may receive a temporary grade of XF from the instructor which will be converted to an F on the record if no extenuating circumstances exist.

Withdrawal from the Consortium Program

Withdrawal from all courses in which you are registered, even if only one course, constitutes withdrawal from the university. If you withdraw from all your courses, you will NOT have to reapply to the university to resume study.

Financial Aid Impact

If you receive student financial aid and drop a class or classes, you will be subject to the federal Title IV Return of Funds Policy. You may be required to return funds to the student financial programs and may also be liable for payments made directly to the UW Consortium.
