Dropping / Adding ClassesBecause UW-Eau Claire is the managing partner of the Consortium, you will use the UW-Eau Claire Blugold System to make any changes (drops OR adds) to your schedule. MBA Office Email: uwcmba@uwec.edu Adding a ClassYou can add a class during the pre-registration period. You should go to MyBlugold and register. If the class is full and you would like to be placed on a waiting list please contact the MBA Office. Dropping a ClassDuring the first part of a course (usually one week) you may drop your course registration directly through the MyBlugold. As of the second week you must get approval to drop by contacting the MBA Office. Wait ListsIf at the time you register you find that the course you want is full (i.e., closed) and you would like to be placed on a waiting list please contact us by email. If you are on the waiting list we will let you know if/when an opening occurs. You would then be able to register for the course. In addition, if we have enough students on a waiting list we will try to add another section either in the current semester or the next semester. Refund Schedule for Withdrawal from the University
Return of Financial Aid FundsIf you withdrew from the University before 60% of the semester has been completed, you and the University may be required to repay a portion of the financial aid refunds awarded to you. When you withdrew completely from the University before finishing the semester, federal regulations require that the University determine whether a portion of your federal financial aid (other than work-study) must be returned. The amount of aid you may keep when you withdraw is in direct proportion to the length of time you remained enrolled during the semester. If you were enrolled for 20% of the semester before you withdraw, 80% of your federal financial aid must be returned to the aid programs. if you stay through 50% of the semester, 50% of your aid must be returned. Once you complete at least 60% of the semester, however, you may keep 100% of the aid you received. This means that if you withdraw before you have completed at least 60% of the semester, you may owe a repayment after you withdraw. You will be billed for any balance owed as a result of returning the financial aid funds. The University will notify you of the dollar amount you owe. Examples of how the refund calculations are done are available in the UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid Office. Actual calculations for required repayment will be done in the Business Office. Calendars are available to help you determine what percentage of the semester has been completed. Dropping All ClassesOnly you can initiate a drop.If you wish to drop all or your courses (regardless of how many you carry) after the start of the class period, you are considered to be "withdrawing" from the university. This has no impact on your registration for the next semester. You must drop courses, or withdraw from the university, officially. Becoming inactive in a class does NOT constitute a withdrawal, and may result in an "F" grade(s). It is your responsibility to officially drop a course. |
