Why did you chose the UW MBA Consortium? Cost-effective and fits into my busy life.

What has been the best part of your experience thus far? Directly applying my learning to my work in real time.

What advice do you have for prospective and/or new students? It can be tempting to overextend yourself in coursework. We are all hardworking students, many of us working full time, juggling family life, and struggling to find time to care for ourselves. The best thing you can do is to commit to the coursework and the assignments as the professors describe them. You earn no extra points for writing an extra five pages; you may even lose points! Instead of wasting time working outside the scope of an assignment, invest that time back into yourself. Burnout can happen in any graduate program, but by setting healthy boundaries and taking time for self-care, you will have a much higher likelihood of success. Also! Always check if your employer offers tuition reimbursement. Many do, though sometimes quietly. It is worth it to request those funds.

Please share a fun fact about yourself: I am an avid thrifter, with a closet and home filled almost exclusively with secondhand items. My interest is part thrill of the chase, part environmental, and part love of things that had a story before me.
