Our online MBA in Leadership emphasis combines cross-functional MBA degree courses and elective courses with a focus in leading people and organizations. How You’ll Earn Your MBA in Leadership

The MBA degree comprises 36 credits. You will complete 26 credits of business essential and core courses, plus 5 required elective classes totaling 6.5 credits that cover leadership topics. You will also choose an additional 3.5 elective credits.

Leadership/Elective Courses

Students in the MBA in Leadership concentration will take the following five classes for 6.5 credits, plus an additional 3.5 elective credits to further customize the degree.

MBA 757: Managing Workplace Stress
This course examines theories, causes, and consequences of stress and take a hands-on approach to address workplace stress.

MBA 760: Employee Training and Development
This course focuses on human resource development’s role in maintaining an organization’s competitive position; identifying training needs, transferring training to the workplace, and assessing training.

MBA 762: Organizational Leadership and Change
This course is designed to equip professionals with a comprehensive understanding and practical skills in managing and leading organizational change.

MBA 764: Work-Family Issues in Contemporary Times
This course will critically examine and analyze issues of work and family life from both employee and employer perspectives.

MBA 773: Communicating for Success
This course allows students to take their writing skills to the next level by applying practical strategies (based on organizational communication theories) to their writing.
