Brittany Pitlik’s journey through the UW MBA Consortium program has culminated in a prestigious honor: being named the program’s 2025 Outstanding Graduate. Selected by the faculty from a competitive group of students who graduated between Summer 2024 and Spring 2025, Pitlik stood out not only for her academic excellence but her leadership, service, and impact on the UW MBA Consortium.

“I am deeply honored and grateful to be selected as the 2025 Outstanding Graduate for the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium,” said Pitlik, a Spring 2025 graduate. “The faculty, staff, and students in this program challenged me every day to learn and grow into a better leader and truly embodied what it means to be excellent. I am incredibly proud to be part of the UW MBA Consortium community.”

Pitlik currently serves as Chief of Staff at Gold H2, an energy biotech startup based in Houston, Texas. She accepted the position while she was a student in the program and noted that the knowledge, skills, and confidence gained while working toward her MBA were vital to being able to successfully fulfill the chief of staff role.

Pitlik served for two years on the UW MBA Consortium’s Student Advisory Group and provided numerous contributions in that role. “Brittany has been an active and engaged member of our Student Advisory Group, consistently contributing thoughtful insights and demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience,” said advisor Pang Kou Khang. Additionally, she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society, a business honor society recognizing individuals who are among the top in their class at AACSB-accredited programs.

In the classroom, many of her instructors noted the outstanding quality of her work and leadership ability. “She was an absolute standout as one of those students who elevates the entire learning environment—intellectually curious, deeply engaged, and genuinely committed to building a supportive learning community,” said Paula Lentz, the program’s academic director and Pitlik’s MBA 701 and MBA 710 instructor. “She set the gold standard for what we want all students to do to get the most from their MBA program academically, professionally, and personally.”

Prior to her time with the UW MBA Consortium, Pitlik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 in political science and kinesiology from Houston Christian University.
